Building Balanced Hips

  • Berkeley Yoga Center 2121 Bonar Street Berkeley, CA, 94702 United States (map)

This workshop spotlights the stabilizing muscles of the hips and pelvis through embodied anatomy and movement. The practice will build awareness, strength, and stamina in the intrinsic muscles of the hips—specifically, those muscles orientated closest to the core of the hip joints, whose chief job is to maintain stabilization and balance during all our activities. The effects of this work are far-reaching, impacting our balance, knee, hip, and pelvic health, and overall sense of well-being.

We'll practice soft tissue mobility techniques (Self-massage with a therapy or tennis ball) and targeted strength and mobility exercises.

All props for this workshop are provided, as well as a home practice sequence to support your continued growth.

Investment: $55
